Norfolk Sunday Senior Cup
FC Steamers vs The Middle Green
Date: Sunday 12 April 2026
Venue: Harrod Sport Arena, The FDC, NR5 9ED
Time: 10.30am KO
For the first time in the club’s history, our Sunday side have reached the final of the Norfolk County FA Wensum Print Sunday Senior Cup. It marks the club’s best-ever run in the competition, having only reached the Semi Finals once in four previous attempts.
Our journey began in October with a 3–0 away win at Horsford FC in the First Round. That set up another away tie at divisional rivals Newton Flotman, where we recovered from a slow start to run out 6–1 winners. In the Quarter Final we hosted Hasbeens FC and battled to a 2–0 victory to book our place in the last four. The Semi Final brought a huge test against holders CSKA Emneth of the Peterborough & District Sunday League. After missing a penalty and hitting the woodwork twice, we finally broke through late on to win 3–1 and secure our place in the final
If you’re free, we’d love to see you there backing the lads. It’s been an incredible journey for the Sunday side, and your support could make all the difference on the day.
You can get your tickets to the game here: FC Steamers vs The Middle Green, Sunday Senior Cup Final Tickets.
If you'd like to support the club in the lead up to the final, then please get in touch by emailing Chairman@FCSteamers.com.
11v11 Goals at Colney Lane
HELP US SECURE OUR FUTURE!
We have been tasked with procuring a new set of full size 11v11 goals at our base of Colney Lane; a site shared between the UEA, Stoke United FC and ourselves. Due to a reconfiguration of the pitches down at Colney Lane, and marking out of a new 11v11 playing area we needed a new set of goals to secure our long term future at the site.
Thankfully, we've been successful in securing a grant from the Football Foundation for 50% of the goals cost, meaning we need to find the remaining 50%; around £1450 - a significant outlay for a club such as ours. We've been exploring options to make this as cost effective as possible, and have reached out to the Norfolk Community Fund who've made a pledge of £1200 towards our chunk of the goals on the basis we are able to raise £250 on our Crowdfunder.
So, if you can, any donation would be greatly appreciated and ensure the future of the club is safeguarded. Colney Lane is currently being used by our Under 16 & Sunday sides, with the opportunity for expansion to come in next few seasons... more on that later!

100 Club Update
🎉 100 Club Update – New Prize Format! 🎉
We’ve made a small tweak to how our monthly 100 Club prizes are awarded. Previously, the prize pot was split three ways (50% / 35% / 15%), but with fluctuating membership numbers, that sometimes left us short of the excitement we’d hoped for.
So, we’re switching things up! From now on, every month will feature two guaranteed cash prizes:
🏆 1st Place – £50
🥈 2nd Place – £25
Entry remains just £3 per month, and we’ll still be running special promotions throughout the year—including our legendary bumper Christmas draw 🎄💥
Want in? Speak to a committee member or sign up directly here👉 Join The 100 Club!
Thanks for supporting the club—and good luck in the next draw!
2025 AGM
On the evening of Thursday 3 July we held our Annual General Meeting at The River Garden.
Following another busy year, there have been some structural changes to the committee. We are delighted to welcome Rhys Chisman to the club as the new Club Secretary, you can reach him on Secretary@FCSteamers.com should you wish. Rhys is a young energetic administrator, who's part of the FA Youth Council and an active referee. Fionn Goodwin-Wright will be staying on as Chairman, and Daniel Philpott has had a slight role change from Adult Chair to Vice-Chair. Anna Larkins steps down from the Secretary role to become the Treasurer. Aaron Perkins also joins the committee as the Sundays Player Rep with all other committee members retaining their place. So, our final committee looks like this:
Chair: Fionn Goodwin-Wright
Vice-Chair: Daniel Philpott
Secretary: Rhys Chisman
Treasurer: Anna Larkins
Committee: Dan Connley, Bryn Hughes, Lee Jackson (Saturday Player Rep), Jon Maslin (Vets Player Rep), Olivia Perkins (Media), Aaron Perkins (Sunday Player Rep) & William 'Dub' Schindler (Veterans Manager).
With that all in place, we look forward to another year of FC Steamers and hopefully it will be an exciting one with the introduction of a new Reserves' side and plenty of other developments.

New Team at FC Steamers!
Following the AGM of the North East Norfolk League last night, held at the excellent Stalham Town FC facilities, we are delighted to announce the expansion of our club with the start of a new Reserve side ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Back where it all started for our Saturday section in North East Norfolk. The team will be under the management of Jack Bishop and Jake Jackson. Jack stepped up to help the Saturdays last season, and Jake is an original Steamer; taking part in our first ever game in 2020. It's great to have both of these guys back in the club on a more formal basis.
What this means:
- More opportunities for players to represent FC Steamers
- A clear pathway for young talent into adult football
- A stronger club identity built on inclusion and progression
The team have been placed in to Division 2, where they will face: North Walsham Town Development, Erpingham, Epringham Res, Reepham, North Walsham Town Social, International Talent, Costessey Sports Reserves, Sprowston Development and MADRA 'A'.
If you are keen to get involved with this new venture, then please get in touch - complete this form and a member of the management team will get in touch with you with details of training and our soon to be confirmed preseason schedule.

Saturday Management Team

We are incredibly pleased to announce our new management team for our flagship Saturday side. Tommy Lovatt & Curtis Fairweather will be taking the reigns with immediate effect.
Tommy & Curtis come in with a wealth of knowledge in the Norfolk Grassroots football - in fact, they managed against us back in our first season in the Anglian Combination when they were in charge of a good Wymondham Town Reserves side.
Plans for preseason are already in place, with training set to start on Wednesday 18 June @ Brundall 3G, 8-9pm. If you want to become a part of FC Steamers then you are more than welcome to attend, just let us know in advance - you can do that by completing this form: Join The Steamers.
It is imperative we place on record our thanks to outgoing manager, Matthew Burgess. He came in to the role in turbulent times, and steadied the ship & then some, taking home the North East Norfolk League Division 1 title in our first season. Promotion to the Anglian Combination followed and we finished 4th in Division 5 (South) which saw us placed in to Division 3 (South) for the 24-25 season following a restructure in the League.
We are looking forward to this new era for the club, and hope you come along for the ride. Please do give Tommy & Curtis the warmest of welcomes as we look to the future.
Up The Steamers.
